This is the first and one and only resin model I've completed. There would be more, but I, as a female, have no desire to start painting all the resins of naked women and slimy things with fangs. Maybe someone will make a dragon resin one day...
These are NOT the best photos I've ever taken, but they are both as clear and detailed as I could get them under the bad lighting circumstances. A lot of the shading and and detail is rather lost because of the lighting.
Detail of griffon head. (Random fact of the day...the gloss
on the gems was gotten by applying clear nail polish ;) )
I painted this sculpture in the common lounge of my dorm.
For days girls were going "She's a little..er..well endowed" and guys were going "WOO HOO!"
The end result is that I ended up strategically placing a few of the quail feathers to cover part of her thigh.
A wide shot of the front of the entire model. The hardest thing was getting all
of this to stay glued together. I was scraping super glue off my fingers for days.
And the back of the model. Unfortunately I applied a lot of colored washes to the
black feathers so they're iridescant in the right lighting. This is obviously not the right lighting.
