I've loved horses since 3rd Grade when my best friend and fellow goddess moved to my home town from Texas. She got me rapidly hooked and I started writing about them, drawing them, collecting model horses, riding them, and generally being an equine obsessive little child. I am not entirely certain how my parents put up with me when I talked for two hours about the differences between a full cheek and jointed snaffle bit. Never the less, I've grown pretty good at drawing these critters over the years. Be sure to check out my fantasy gallery since I tend to draw horses a lot in that area as well.
And just to settle a very long debate from 3rd grade: When drawing a horse's ears, they are neither triangles or entirely shaped like an oak leaf. It's somewhere in between.
